Team mission

Our mission in the Traveler group is to connect travelers with experiences that ignite their passions. We are responsible for the core consumer experience in the marketplace and support multiple company-level initiatives and goals. We take pride in ownership and collaboration in line with our company principles. We start by deeply understanding our customer needs and building towards a vision that helps millions of Travelers around the world find experiences.

Role Overview

As a Group Product Manager, you will own a significant part of the customer journey and are responsible for defining a vision and strategy that impacts multiple product areas and teams within GetYourGuide. A key focus of this role will be on our Search product, where you will impact both the technical foundation as well as consumer facing features. In this role, you will execute complex projects that require multiple Product, Business, and Sales teams that depend on you to achieve their goals.

We are looking for a Group Product Manager who can also build, mentor, and grow a talented team of Product Managers, fostering an environment of collaboration, inclusivity, and excellence. Success as a Group Product Manager requires the execution of your cross-functional mission team as well as driving impact through the PMs that will report to you. As a leader in the company, you will have an executive presence to gain buy-in and influence the company’s long-term vision. This role requires a growth mindset and the ambition to dive into complex problems positively.

You will:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for your product area, set clear, measurable goals, and take full responsibility for outcomes. Drive sustained customer impact through a long-term (12 months+) roadmap, identifying areas for non-incremental impact.
  • Articulate and connect your product area’s strategy to the company’s mission. Break down the strategy into actionable steps, regularly update stakeholders on progress, and create excitement for your long-term vision. Build alignment within cross-functional teams and with outside stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Data Science leaders to evolve our technical search platform to meet customer needs.
  • Analyze customer feedback, market trends, and business metrics to inform decision-making. Prioritize initiatives, re-evaluate the roadmap based on new insights, and ensure the most valuable features are delivered first. Make strategic decisions on sequencing and prioritizing product work to maximize impact and learning.
  • Build trust with multiple stakeholders, internal and external, to set clear expectations and align them with your product area’s roadmap. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and create buy-in across the organization. Plan and execute experiments to test hypotheses, develop A/B tests, and analyze data to derive actionable insights. Leverage experimentation to evaluate your team's investment and inform future product decisions.
  • Represent customer interests at all levels of the organization, advocating for user needs in strategic discussions. Act with openness and transparency with your team, peers, and executive leadership. Influence senior management and broader organizations to support major initiatives.
  • Develop and manage a team of product managers at different seniority levels. Facilitate career development plans and provide coaching and mentorship to your direct reports and other team members. Foster a culture of continuous improvement to help them grow and develop their careers.

Who you are:

  • 7+ years of professional experience in product management and at least 2+ as a Lead Product Manager in direct customer-facing roles
  • 2+ years of experience leading, hiring, and growing product managers
  • Demonstrated experience owning and driving product strategy, setting product and team goals, creating and executing on roadmaps.
  • Experience leading a cross-functional mission team in a collaborative way that will align with our Guiding Principles
  • Strong data analytics skills with the ability to derive insights from large data sets
  • Demonstrated passion for driving customer and business impact
  • An engineering/analytics background or demonstrated experience in building complex platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Bonus: Experience working in a search product, marketplaces, or the travel industry.

How we set you up for success:

  • Invest in your development with an annual personal growth budget
  • Become a part of our success with virtual stock options
  • Enjoy flexibility with a hybrid work-from-home and telecommuting policy
  • Save on transportation costs with a mobility budget
  • Support your loved ones with generous maternity and paternity leave policies
