Role Overview:

You will be the acting design lead responsible for overseeing the design and user experience (UX/UI) of our Contractor web app. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to create intuitive, user-centered designs that align with our strategic goals. This role requires a deep understanding of user interaction and visual design, as well as how to integrate generative AI seamlessly into user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end design process for both our contractor web app experience, from concept to final implementation.
• Develop a strong, consistent visual identity and user experience across all platforms shareable/extensible to other teams through our shared design system.
• Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user flow diagrams to effectively communicate design ideas.
• Work with our user research team to conduct discovery, usability testing, and gather feedback to iterate and improve designs.
• Partner with product and engineering to elaborate and develop the overall UX strategy.
• Lead, mentor and guide more junior designers, setting design standards and best practices for the team.
• Stay updated on industry trends and competitor products to continuously innovate.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Design Lead, UX/UI Designer, or similar role with a focus on web apps.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your design work for web apps.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and how AI can enhance the user experience.
• Experience in leading design and mentoring junior designers.
• Ability to work cross-functionally
• Solid communication skills and ability to present complex ideas clearly.

Nice-to-Have:

• Background in designing for both B2B and consumer user experiences
• Background in industries like HR.
