Reporting into the Senior Manager on the Finance & Strategy team, this is a key position that will play an important part in LetsGetChecked’s success by maintaining and developing models fundamental to strategic planning. The role requires working directly with LetsGetChecked’s finance, commercial, product, and operations leaders, driving financial planning and business forecasting, and developing strategic analysis around important programs. This role is based in Dublin and will focus on supporting our business globally.

This is a hybrid position, based 3 days per week in our Dun Laoghaire headquarters.

Responsibilities 

Model Development and Maintenance:

  • Construct, update, and maintain 3-statement financial models in Excel to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Develop bottoms-up models using Power Query to analyze and manage large datasets efficiently.
  • Ensure model accuracy and adaptability, applying best practices for complex financial data handling.
  • Key contributor in the monthly forecast process, including the analysis, interpretation and explanation of variances to budget on a monthly basis.

Strategic Reporting and Presentation:

  • Develop presentations and reports that clearly articulate key findings, model outputs, and strategic implications.
  • Translate financial data into actionable insights, guiding decision-making processes.

Data Analysis and Insight Generation:

  • Perform detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and key performance drivers.
  • Extract insights and provide recommendations on strategic initiatives, cost optimization, and revenue enhancement.
  • Present financial insights, analysis outcomes, and scenario modeling to senior management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with teams across finance, operations, labs, manufacturing, pharmacy to align assumptions and insights to deliver actionable recommendations for the business.
  • Generate measurable value-add to the business. Generating strategic asset allocation recommendations: where to slow down or remove resources, where to add resources or accelerate, understanding the relative impact of different resources.

Requirements

  • Excellent modelling skills with experience in building and maintaining consolidated integrated models from scratch in Excel (be prepared for a case study).
  • Qualified (CFA, ACA or similar) with excellent academic record.
  • At least 3 to 5 years post qualification experience in any of the following: a high-tech growth environment; operational experience in investment banking; management consulting; private equity; venture capital or business insights / analytics roles.
  • Self-starter; Enthusiastic; Analytical; Works well under pressure, with a high degree of adaptability and flexibility in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment. 
  • Strong business report writing and presentation skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience with SQL and data visualisation tools a plus (Looker)
