In this role, you will be joining the live low latency streaming team as an iOS specialised developer. We deliver Sye, a revolutionary streaming platform primarily used for live sporting events and concerts. Our ambition is to drastically improve the customer experience of watching live streams by providing minimal latency and synchronized playback to all viewers across the globe.
Please note this role is also available in Stockholm.
Travel to Stockholm will be required circa every 6 weeks.
Key job responsibilities
As an iOS developer on our live low latency streaming player team, you will innovate on and improve the components providing live streaming capabilities to end user applications. The platforms that the team supports include Android, iOS, web, smart-TVs, set-top-boxes and game consoles, where you will focus on iOS.
Your will work on the SDKs we provide as well as their integration into Prime Video applications that are used by millions of customers around the world. Your work will also include developing reference and demo implementations, setting up automated tests for different hardware and software platforms.
A day in the life
As part of the Sye team you will be involved with daily stand-ups, coding, code reviews for team members, internal and cross team meetings to align on technical complexities, estimate deliveries with milestones and write technical documents. Large events involves planning of new features to be deployed, tests to be performed and data to be analyzed in order to continuously improve the customer experience. Status and goals tracking are expected every so often.
About the team
The team owns the live low latency player SDKs for supported platforms, and we also work on the integration of them into Prime Video applications.

Together with partners such as Twitch and IMDb TV, we are part of a strong video streaming community that will be available to you. - Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Experience in professional, non-internship software development
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
